Lumbar Manipulation

If you are in this category, you have acute pain with the following criteria:

No Symptoms Distal to the Knee
Recent Onset of Symptoms (<16 days)
Low FABQ Score (<19)
Hypomobility of the lumbar spine with PA testing
Hip Internal Rotation >=35 degrees for at least 1 hip

Your initial treatment should probably be lumbar manipulation based on evidence.  Find a qualified physical therapist or chiropractor to perform a general lumbar manipulation.  2 times on each side and it doesn’t matter if your back cracks or not (based on research).  Do this over 2 sessions.  You may want to move on to another category after this if your pain does not improve.
